SAM.gov opportunity qualification

Qualifying a federal contract opportunity means separating what the solicitation actually requires from what your company can actually evidence. RADSVI reads live federal opportunities and does that separation explicitly.

What RADSVI reads from a live notice

  • Agency, title and Notice ID.
  • NAICS code and any set-aside designation.
  • Response deadline and place of performance, when stated.
  • Mandatory requirements derived from the solicitation text.

When the notice does not state a value, RADSVI leaves it unstated rather than inferring one. An absent place of performance, for example, does not become a geographic conflict.

From notice to gate state

Each mandatory requirement resolves to CLEAR, UNKNOWN or BLOCKED in the Pursuit Gate. Requirements that depend on company evidence stay UNKNOWN until that evidence exists and is verified — missing evidence is never reported as failure.

Then fit, then consequence

Opportunities that are not blocked continue to Pursuit Fit and a PURSUE / REVIEW / DO NOT PURSUE recommendation, weighed against finite proposal capacity. The full order is described in the methodology and applied in the bid/no-bid framework.

Frequently asked questions

How do I qualify a SAM.gov opportunity?

Start from the notice itself: NAICS, set-aside, response deadline, place of performance and any stated mandatory requirements. Resolve each mandatory requirement against verified company evidence before doing any strategic scoring.

What is a SAM.gov Notice ID?

A Notice ID is the identifier SAM.gov assigns to a contract opportunity notice. RADSVI accepts a Notice ID to resolve a single live opportunity and show the mandatory requirements it reads from that solicitation.

Can I check an opportunity without an account?

Yes. The public Pursuit Gate check resolves a live federal opportunity and shows each mandatory requirement's gate state and the supporting evidence. It does not use any company profile, so company-specific requirements stay UNKNOWN and no company-specific Pursuit Fit score is produced.

Does a qualified opportunity mean my company is eligible?

No. A gate state reflects the evidence available at that moment. Requirements that depend on company evidence remain UNKNOWN until that evidence is recorded and verified, and RADSVI names exactly what has to be confirmed.
